Att. Med. Hüseyin KARATAŞ
Hüseyin Karataş is a founding partner of Karataş Law Firm.
Hüseyin graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2000 and admitted to Istanbul Bar Association in 2001. He attended postgraduate program at Marmara University Social Sciences Private Law Department between 2000 and 2001. Within the scope of postgraduate studies, he particularly carried out a study with respect to the Financial and Legal Liabilities of Member of Board of Directors of Joint Stock Companies. After completing his legal internship at the law firm managed by Prof. Dr. Saibe Oktay Özdemir and Att. Dr. Nevzat Özdemir, Hüseyin worked for Bayındırbank A.Ş. (Current name is Birleşik Fon Bankası A.Ş.), which exists within the structure of at Saving Deposit Insurance Fund, in the field of Obligation Law, Commercial Law, Labour Law, Criminal Law, Bankruptcy and Enforcement Law and Banking Law, from November 2001 to March 2004. He continued to work with Prof. Dr. A. Ata Sakmar between 2005 and 2007. Hüseyin was a Secretary-General and Member of the Board of Directors at the Union of Employers of Tourism Industry between 2012 and 2015 and took part in Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations Committee.
Hüseyin is a member of Law Committee of Hotel Association of Turkey (TÜROB) and provides general law consultancy services to its corporate clients. His practice areas are Individual and Collective Labour Law (Collective Employment Agreement and Unions) and Obligation Law (Contracts Law). Hüseyin, was appointed as one of the official mediators for the collective conflict of interest disputes of the social parties for the 13th term covering the dates 31.12.2020-30.12.2023 by the Selection Committee of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. He is re-appointed for the 14th term covering the dates 31.12.2023-30.12.2026 and still continues his official mediation activities. In addition, under the mediation registration number 17441, Hüseyin continues his mediation activities within the scope of the new system for the resolution of legal disputes through mediation, which came into force with the Law Numbered 6325.
